I LOVE KOMBUCHA!

What is kombucha?  It is an ancient fermented tea, known for it’s many health benefits.

Digestion is the key to good health.  If you don’t have a good digestive system, nutrients may not be properly absorbed, which can lead to all sorts of health problems.  Every time you sit down to a meal you are providing your body with nutrients essential for life.  Your body has an amazing ability to get what it needs even from unhealthy foods.  But, if you are eating the right foods and if your digestive tract is working effectively, you will not only survive, but thrive!  Kombucha can help!

How does kombucha help digestion?  It provides a source of probiotics.  Probiotics are those good, friendly bacteria that keep your gut happy.  They help you digest your food by breaking it down and making the nutrients more bioavailable.  This means your body will be better at absorbing the nutrients that are in your food.

Sounds good, right?  Sure, you can get probiotics in supplement form and that’s often something I recommend to my clients.  Especially when there are digestive issues involved.  But probiotics can be pricey.  Kombucha is fun to make and drink!  It costs pennies a glass and once you start making kombucha, you will have a lifetime supply!  Each time you brew kombucha you will grow a new SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast).  This is where the friendly bacteria come from.  Soon you will have extra Scoby’s you can give to your friends!  If you feel like taking a break, you can do that too.  Just keep your Scoby’s in a kombucha hotel and they will be fine to stay there until you are ready to start making it again.

LEARN HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN KOMBUCHA!

Kombucha, an ancient, fermented tea, has many health benefits that include:

For this workshop, I am teaming up with Melyna Godard of Moonlight Medium in Rockland, who has offered to start us off with a short meditation session.  Because we all become better kombucha makers after meditating!

Guests will be provided with all supplies needed to make your very first batch of kombucha, which you will take home with you at the end of the workshop.  Guided by me, we will go step-by-step for  the entire kombucha making process.

I remember when I was trying to get pregnant, and I was surprised that it didn’t happen easily.  I mean, I spent years trying not to get pregnant so why was it so hard when I wanted it to happen?  When you are trying to get pregnant, it’s all you think about.  I know the disappointment and heartache that comes with a negative pregnancy test.  After so many you feel it might never happen for you.  You don’t even want to think about that, so you keep trying.  Try to stay positive.  Try not to think about it.  All.  The.  Time.

What if I told you that the foods you eat could make it happen sooner?  What if you are eating the wrong foods that are jeopardizing your chances of conceiving?  The truth is, nutrition plays a big role in everything, including fertility and a baby’s health before it’s even born.  But, let’s not forget about you!  Your health is important too, and when you do become pregnant, that baby will take what he or she needs from your body!  If you’re not eating enough nutrients to support yourself during pregnancy, you could become nutrient deficient.  This can cause all kinds of health problems now and in the future.
